Wyndham Employees Embrace a Healthy Lifestyle
25 May, 2011 - Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific employees have embraced the idea of a healthy lifestyle with plenty of exercise and healthy eating taking place at Wyndham Corporate Centre and WorldMark South Pacific Club by Wyndham resorts on 25 May
Corporate employees donned their sneakers for Wyndham's inaugural "Be Well Day" and took part in a variety of activities such as tug of war, a mental challenge and exercise options. There was also a selection of free fruit available to employees all day. Employees at WorldMark resorts also enjoyed exercise activities and healthy lunches.
Wyndham's Vice President of Human Resources, Tara Walsh said "Be Well Day" aimed to highlight the importance of health and wellness, increasing awareness of health and physical and mental wellbeing.
"The overall wellbeing of our employees is of the utmost importance and we want to make sure everyone is in the position to reach their full potential and has a happy state of mind both during and outside of work," Tara said.
Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific CEO and Managing Director, Barry Robinson and a team of employees challenged fellow Gold Coast business RCI in a tug of war competition. Many employees did their bit to show their dedication to health and fitness by taking part in walking groups and a yoga session and using the stairs instead of the lift.
"Be Well Day is a great initiative that shows our 1100 plus employees how to maintain health and wellness to achieve greater productivity and both personal and professional growth," Barry said.
